RERO as a part of women empowerment have formed more than 1500 SHGs in Namakkal district. To ensure their economic sustainability, we train them on various activities and give credit support through various banks and financial institutions.
Since 2012, RERO has been actively associated with NABARD Financial Services (NABFINS Ltd.) through the Women Micro Credit Programme, enabling thousands of women in rural and tribal areas to access microfinance, strengthen their livelihoods, and achieve economic independence.
RERO has partnered with TWAD to provide water and Sanitation awareness campaigns to SHGs, School children, Teachers, OHT operators etc. We have conducted more than 200 programmes for the same.
Since 2006, RERO has been managing a Water Board Laboratory and Training Centre, providing safe water awareness, technical skill training, and capacity-building programs for local communities. This initiative has continuously supported water safety, testing, and conservation efforts.
RERO is approved as a partner for conducting PRA activities in 28 villages in Kolli hills for Green India mission which is an initiative of Ministry of forest
In 2024, RERO launched a Mobile Medicare Unit at Kolli Hills in Namakkal District with the support of the Social Welfare Department. This project continues to provide essential healthcare services to remote tribal communities, ensuring that elderly, women, and children receive timely medical assistance.
Between 2021 and 2025, with the CSR support of Karur Vysya Bank (KVB), RERO undertook innovative eco-friendly initiatives such as establishing mini forests to promote biodiversity and installing solar energy systems to encourage renewable energy adoption in rural areas.
